IFMS was initiated by the participants who are all attended the short term course on Microbes and Sustainability organized by American Society for Microbiology, USA and Madurai Kamaraj University, India.
Dr.Ramesh Goel , Asst.Professor, University of Utah, USA has conducted this course . During the course we have learnt new views about microbes and their application in environmental management. We have initiated this forum to discuss views and doubts in the following areas- Environmental Microbiology, Waste water treatment, Proteomics, Genomics, Metagenomics, Bioinformatics etc., This forum may share our knowledge in all aspects of Environmental concern.
For this forum we have expertise's from various fields of Biological science and Engineering so that any one interested can make new contacts with them.
